# Subscriptions

Subscriptions are a way to be notified and to take action whenever there are new results matching a saved search query.

By setting up a Subscription, customers can control:

* Whether they want to receive email notifications for new hits of Saved Searches.
* When those email notifications are supposed to go out.
* Whether incidents should automatically be created for new items.
